Community Appreciation

Often I hear the common saying from my peers: “No one erected a statue for a critic.” But often we neglect to stop and think about who built that statue in the first place. Whether you believe it or not, you are a critic. The producers, the co-writers or musicians, the friends and family members, even that first person to show interest in the group or artist is a critic. Without those people who took the time to pay attention, your favourite artists or bands would be nobodies. Every person that gives them a listen, shows their appreciation, or buys a ticket to a show is helping to erect that statue.
